Ann Flowers Lowe
Shreveport, LA - Ann Flowers Lowe, 97, passed away on April 21, 2012, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ann was born on November 3, 1914 in New Albany, Mississippi, but was a resident of Shreveport for most of her life. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church for almost sixty (60) years.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, Joseph James Flowers and her mother, Charlie Purcell Flowers; her first husband, Daniel "Bub" Cohen; her second husband, Clayton Reeves Lowe and her daughter, Noel Ann Lowe Ranney, who also passed away on April 21, 2012; her brothers Joseph James Flowers, Jr., Louis Summers Flowers and Charles Wesley Flowers; and her sister, Fanny Flowers Abramson.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana Lowe Ely of Shreveport, LA; her son, Warren Clayton Lowe and his wife, Sylvia of Lafayette. LA; her granddaughters, Kristin Ranney Brossette and her husband, Casey and their sons, Brooks and Beau and Erin Elisabeth Ely and her children, Nicholas, Samuel and Abigail Cox of Dallas, TX; her grandsons, Dr. Eugene Wesley Ely and his wife, Dr. Kim Ely and their daughters, Taylor, Brook and Blair of Nashville, TN and Dr. Scott Adams Ely and his wife, Dr. Susan Ely and their daughters, Jane and Kate of Pelham Manor, NY.
Visitation for Ann and her daughter, Noel will be held on April 26, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. till time of service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Avenue, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Father Richard J. Lombard. The family would like to thank the staff of Montclair Park Assisted Living and her caregivers for all of their loving care over the years. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's memory be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71105 or to the charity of your choice.

I will forever be grateful to Mrs. Lowe. She hired me when I graduated college for my first job, which I still have today. That was 35 years ago this May. She was also a friend and "exercise partner" with my dear aunt who died last year. Nice lady -- RIP Mrs. Lowe.
