May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Ms. Kidd was a wonderful teacher and mentor at Meadowview. She was my music teaching back in the 70's. I loved her so much. She even had a nickname for me "half pint". She will greatly be missed for her kind and caring heart.

I remember you well from my days as a student at Meadowview Elementary, when I was there as Co-Op student in high school and then again as a supply teacher as a young adult. You were always so kind and helpful and treated me as an equal. Thank you! ❤

My memories of Joyce are many as I reflect on our experiences in the Music Department at Southern University (1964-68). Joyce and I were initiated into Delta Sigma Theta in Spring 1966. I will always cherish the memory of her friendship, laughter, vocal performances at SU, and sweet spirit. It is my prayer that God will grant you strength, comfort, and peace during this time knowing that she was loved by many.

I don't think I had spoken with her in over 40 years, but I think about the things she taught me about music at Meadowview Elementary every day of my life. She was a wonderful lady, and we are all poorer for her passing. I hope knowing how many people were touched by her life will bring comfort to her family in this trying time. I am so sorry your loss.
