Steve Alan Cole
Mooringsport - Steve Cole, 69, was born on November 24, 1951 to William and Elinor Cole in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from Haughton High School, Class of 1969. Following graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Cole. They celebrated nearly 50 years of marriage. Steve passed on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 with his wife by his side. The Lord carried Steve home in his loving arms after a short battle with Covid.
In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his beloved Aunt, Frankie Cole. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Ann Cole; his two daughters: Christina Parrott and husband, Jason and Michelle (Shelly) Roberts and husband, Thomas; ten grandchildren: Chelsea Parrott, Haley Roberts, Hannah Parrott, Kyndall Roberts, Lauren Roberts, Caleb Parrott, Thomas Lane Roberts II, Faith Parrott, Isaac Roberts, Elinor Roberts; brother George Cole and wife, Lynn; and many beloved nephews and cousins.
Steve's life revolved around his family, especially his wife and grandchildren. He also looked forward to weekly luncheons with his cousins. In younger days, Steve enjoyed hunting. His family will miss his "famous" fish fries, sense of humor and family stories.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Steve's name to Christ the King Catholic Church.
A funeral Mass will be held for Steve Alan Cole at Christ the King Catholic Church, Bossier City, Louisiana on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held prior to the Mass at 9:15 am in the Christ the King Auditorium. Inurnment will follow the service at Hill Crest Memorial in Haughton. Officiating will be Father Seby Chemmampallil, assisted by Deacon Ricardo Rivera. Due to Covid, the services will also be live streamed at the following link:
