I am so sorry for the family's loss. I just came across this obit by pure coincidence. Mr Sliwa was always great towards me as were his children that I am acquainted with. I always considered him to be a friend and I know he will be missed terribly by his family and friends. May God welcome you into his arms.

It was a case of pure serendipity that I came across the passing of Mr. Sliwa that it defies logic. Life, however, can do that at times for reasons we are not privy to on this side of eternity's thin veil. To read that Mr. Sliwa departed this life from Pa made it even more so. I have often wondered how Al and Sophie were getting along. Sophie left first followed by once-neighbors Irene (2001) and Frank (2013). An era has passed Tommy, Christine, Billy and Mike, but please know that their memory and their legacy lives through us, their children, and, yes, grandchildren, too.

Requiescat in pacem, Mr. Sliwa and may perpetual light shine upon you.
