Sad to learn of "Aunt" Joan's passing. The Hagans lived across the street on Bard Ave from us and my Aunt Doris and Joan were best friends growing up. Aunt Joan always had a smile and upbeat personality. She will be missed. Condolences to all her family.Sincerely, Sean Rowan Hanly and family

I remember what a wonderful teacher Mrs Weeks was in 1969 when I was in 3rd grade at Blessed Sacrament School. There are certain teachers who you never forget and she was one of them. I often thought of her her through the years. I still remember her telling our class she had a surprise for us. We were in a classroom in the basement and she opened up the basement window and a ice cream truck pulled up. Ice cream came through the window from her husband who drove a ice cream truck. It was magical. She was fun, caring and made learning so easy. May she rest In peace, I will never forget her. Margaret (Peggy) McNaney Mende

Joan was my nephews grandma and great grandma to my great niece and nephews - she was a wonderful person who cherished her grandson and babysat for each of her great grand kids from birth until pre-school everyday, then after school most days she read with each one and gave them the gift of herself and love for learning ... each of them are straight A bright children, advanced in all subjects - much credit goes to her time and effort. My nephew and his children were all so very blessed to have had her in their lives . R.I.P Joan It was a pleasure knowing you - you made a difference in so many lives. ❤
