My thoughts and prayers are with your Family and Friends at this difficult time. I was fortunate to have met John when I was installing rebar on a couple of Bedford projects in the 90's. John was always a Class Act. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Sincerely,
Fred LeMoine

To DJ, Tommy and the entire Banks and Bedford/Carp families.
I was so sad to hear of John's passing. My heart goes out to you. I fondly remember John telling the story of when we first worked together a million years ago in Eltingville. He says I ran in front of his backhoe to stop him from destroying potential archaeological resources. Although I don't remember the details, I'm sure he was right. More recent memories of when his brothers brought him out of retirement to work on Governors Island. Great memories there too. I've got a picture of us with Tommy on the ferry. I'll email it to DJ since I can't figure out how to add it here. I'll miss him.

To DJ, Tommy and family. We are sharing in your sadness as we remember Johnny. He was #82 on the Staten Island Tigers football team in Grant City and a great friend of our brother, Buddy #77. Those were such fun times. So many fond memories growing up with John.
May you find comfort knowing we will never forget him. He was a true gentleman. Rest In Peace Johnny angel.
