Joseph L. Esposito Jr., 72

Retired Project Manager

Joseph L. Esposito Jr. of Old Town, who worked at one of Staten Island's oldest family-owned businesses, died suddenly on Saturday, February 13th in his home from natural causes.

Mr. Esposito, recently retired; worked in the family owned businesses, Canal Lumber Co. and The Royal Flamingo Swim Club in Staten Island to name a few. In 1996, after moving to West Palm Beach, FL, Mr. Esposito became the Project Manager of several properties, most recently the Falls Country Club until his retirement.

Born in Staten Island, Mr. Esposito grew up in Dongan Hills before starting his own family. He, and his first wife Nanette had two children, Jeanine and Joseph III. He then had a son, Michael, with his second wife, Deborah, and a stepdaughter Jennifer.

Mr. Esposito was a craftsman and an avid sports fan. In the summers here in Staten Island, he enjoyed the pool and sun, leading to his favored lifestyle in Florida; where he would enjoy his days at his lakeside home and boating.

He is survived not only by his children but, by his mother Catherine Esposito (Fressola) his sister Linda Bellisi, his brother George and wife Maria, and his three grandchildren, Kayla, Jessica and Mia.

A small intimate viewing was held Wednesday February 17th followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Ann's Church on February 18th before his cremation.
