On behalf of the Officers and Brothers of John F. Kennedy Division No. 1 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Richmond County Board, may I offer our most heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences to the family and friends of our worthy and esteemed departed Brother Hibernian, Brother Michael Curry, on his recent passing.

May Almighty God grant eternal rest to our worthy Brother Hibernian, Michael, and may His Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, Our Mother Mary, Saint Patrick and Saint Columcille, greet our worthy Brother Michael Curry in heaven above as he joins the company of the angels and the saints, and grant peace to the hearts of his beloved family in their hour of sadness at his passing.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

Respectfully yours,

Brother Denis P. McGowan
Vice President
Richmond County Board

The first day I met Mr. Curry I was moving in next door to his winter home in Florida. I just bought the home and was moving in without any assistance. He was gracious to offer his support that day. Believe me it was well received since it would have fallen strictly on me. He defined that day the spirit of being a good neighbor. He always assured me that he would look out for my family while I was away on military duties. But that is not uncommon for those that have worn the uniform to look out for your fellow brethrens. I was always in his debt for his generosity, kindness and wisdom.

On behalf of my family, I send my sincerest condolences to the family. The world lost a great man but he left indelible memories!

Rest in peace, soldier, neighbor, and friend.
