I am very sorry to hear of Mr Wing's passing. I have known him since I was born- Mr. Wing and my dad went to high school together at Brooklyn Tech, worked together in the Navy Yard, then moved on to Treadwell Corp and then Hatch.I would get to see Mr wing regularly over the years- I have fond memories of meeting him and my dad at Rangers and Knick games- they got great seats from vendors to Treadwell. Dad and Mr. Wing always were pretty jolly as they had a few drinks before the game- which was a good thing as they didn't notice that underage me and whatever friend I brought were sneaking beers all night. My mom and dad were very close over the years- they vacationed together when they were young (I only knew this from watching home movies- mom would say hey here we are in the poconos with Bob and Joan the year your father broke his foot playing ball with Bob). Mr Wing was also in my dad's wedding party (I also got that from home movies). Over the years my folks and Mr.and Mrs Wing remained friends-- which was a good thing as my folks were fortunate enough to be able to spend a few weeks a year at Briney Breezes (I hope they paid enough rent). Anyway- I hadn't seen Mr Wing since my wedding (which Mrs Wing sang at) when I saw him a few years ago at my dad's 80th birthday party- he was the same old Mr. Wing - a great guy who will be missed.
