Nellie Hazel Andrews, age 100, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Orchard Park Assisted Living in Bellingham, Washington. She was born September 24, 1910 in Lyman, Washington to Theodore and Harriett (Fisher) Bryson.
Nellie was a 75 year resident of Lyman and Sedro-Woolley and she worked as a LPN at Northern State Hospital until its closure.
She was married to Frank Wagner on January 5, 1932 and he preceded her in death in August of 1948. Nellie later married Ed Andrews in December of 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1957. She enjoyed gardening and knitting and was a member of the Rebecca's.
Nellie is survived by her daughters, Joan Visten and her husband Les of Sedro-Woolley, Dorothy Rood and her husband Ken of Bellingham and a son, John Wagner and his wife Peggy of Pleasant Hill, Oregon; 5 grandchildren, Mick Visten and his wife Kathe, Carla Beymer and her husband Mark, Brian Rood, James Rood and his wife Dawn, and Connie Wagner; 4 step-grandchildren, Mark Gustafson, Lynn Shapes, Lisa Wagner, and Phillip Wagner; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, 4 brothers, Homer Queen, Irvin Bryson, Charles Bryson, Elmer Bryson, and a step-granddaughter, Marla Wetmore.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00PM at the Lyman Cemetery with Pastor John Reed of Bellingham officiating.
