Dear Langton Family,

I want to belatedly extend my condolences to you on the loss of your beloved husband and father and, like so many other former students of his, express just how positive an influence JL was in my musical life. Beyond his immense gifts as a musician and teacher, however, he also displayed such genuine concern for his students and their lives, which is something that I personally experienced and will always be grateful for. His was a life well-lived.

My very deepest condolences to the Langton family. Mr. Langton by far, was my favorite teacher (choir, music theory), and he used to play Danny Boy for me on the piano at the Autoport. He left a great impact on my life as he did so many others.
With my deepest sympathy,
Mariesa Davis McCloud (SCAHS class of '76).

My sympathies to the his family; he was a great teacher, avid enthusiast, and supportive friend. He reawakened a love of choral music in me 35+ years ago, and the training, whether that of music or life, he gave all of his students will live on.

Loretta, Jim, Bob, Dave, Mary, Bill, & Judy:
I was very sorry to hear about Jim's (your Dad's) passing. Please accept my sympathies and I hope that you're feeling the love and support of each other and all of the friends and acquaintances that you've gained over the years. I'll remember Jim for the dedication and support of his family and his service to others. In his teaching career and professional life, he truly used his talents to help others. Oh, I'll remember him for his jokes and sense of humor, too. Take care.
