Wanda B. Sekelsky, 96, of the Lutheran Home at Kane and formerly of 14 Kane Street,
Wilcox, died Tuesday morning, September 14, 2021 at the Lutheran Home following a
lengthy illness.
She was born January 25, 1925 in Instanter, a daughter to Felix and Stella Boguszewski Waskiewicz. On September 30, 1944 in Holy Cross Church, Rasselas, she married Frank W. Sekelsky. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2011.
Wanda was a lifelong resident of Wilcox and attended Wilcox Schools. She was a
member of St. Anne's Church.
She was a homemaker and devoted mother to her three sons and three daughters. She is
survived by sons Thomas Sekelsky and his wife Shari of Warren, William Sekelsky and his
wife Donna of Kane and Robert Sekelsky and his wife Dori of Wilcox, daughters Diane,
Mrs. Bob Franco of Wilcox and Karen, Mrs. Joseph Keneske of Johnsonburg and a son-in-
law William Harper of Butler. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was predeceased by a daughter Eileen
Harper, a brother Stanislaw and sisters Helen and Apolonya.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Wanda B. Sekelsky at a Mass of
Christian Burial to be conducted at St. Anne's Church, Wilcox on Friday September 17,
2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor David Wilson, as celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Cross
Cemetery, Rasselas. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Inc. 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg, Pa
If desired, memorial contributions should be made to the charity of one's choice in
Wanda's memory.
