Doug and I were neighbors growing up in Ardmore. I will always remember him playing his electric guitar and our experiences being afraid of the June bugs! Rest in peace Doug.

I met Doug on the first day of school in the first grade. We remained friends all through high school. We went to church together at Ardmore Brethren where we both sang in the choir and a boys quartet that the pastor's wife formed. The last time I saw Doug he was singing at the Rusty Nail in downtown South Bend. I was home on leave from the Air Force and heard he was singing there so I took my wife in to meet him. I lost touch after that because I retired from the Air Force in Minnesota and just moved home 4 years ago. He will be missed by all who knew him.

My sincere condolences to the family. What a GREAT voice. Doug and I worked with the Eddie Knight Band for many years.
