Fred Moore

Fred Moore, of Buchanan, died Tuesday, February 16 in St. Joseph, Michigan. He was born on February 6, 1929 to the late Ted Moore of Logansport, IN and Kathryn Best Moore.

At the age of 16, he left school to become a lifelong farmer. He also drove bus for the Buchanan School System and worked at both Clark Equipment Company, Buchanan and Vail Rubber Company, St. Joseph. On September 23, 1950, he married Joan Leggett of Michigan City, IN, who passed away in 2016.

Fred is survived by his five children, Fred J. (Debra) of Lansing, MI, Linda of Hillsdale, MI, Patricia of Buchanan, MI, Dale (Laurie) of Buchanan, MI, and Steve (Joni) of Raleigh, NC. Also surviving are six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his special friend, Joyce Ferris. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and half sister, Betty Cullison.
