Sorry to read about Jim's passing. He was a wonderful football coach and mentor to his players. May he rest in peace.

Today, Bill Cole called me and told me of Jim's passing, which came as a great shock to me. I immediately thought of the the memories we shared, starting with the Bridge Club to the visit at the log house in Terre du Lac--memories that covered more than fifty years of true friendship. All of these memories will always be in my heart. He was a good friend to me and one who will be so missed. I have always felt Jim was a special gift. He was a true gentleman, a great football coach and teacher. My heart goes out to Sylvia who also was so much a part of our good times. Jim will be remembered in my prayers.
