I'm so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I was a customer for 30 years, and looked forward each time to my visits with him. He was kind and sincere with everyone, and it seemed as if everyone did come through there! I called him "The Mayor of Mishawaka." He loved his town, his country, his sports, and his family, and he kept me up on his family's progress through life. He also helped me raise my sons with his sage advice to them, and my oldest son still brings his son back to Jerry when they're up from Florida. Jerry was a wonderful man, and the turnout at the funeral home was meaningful in reflecting the huge positive impacts he had. RIP, friend.

Have been getting my hair cut by Jerry every few weeks for the last 20 years, my son for a good portion of his life also. I looked forward to seeing him. He always had a joke or two and a smile to go along with it. He always seemed genuinely happy to see me and my family. We would discuss many topics from sports to politics. He loved talking about his kids and grandkids. He was very proud of them. I would see him not just in the barbershop but at swim meets where his grandkid swam against my son. A kind and generous person. He will be greatly missed. My family is very sorry for the loss. He, along with his family, are in our thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Brandenburg family. I will forever remember Jerry's spirit and energy. Jerry had a laugh that is rare-a laugh that was deep from within and reflected his true joyous, light-hearted nature. A laugh that could make anybody smile and laugh. Jerry gave me my first hair cut roughly 26 years ago and I am grateful to have had the pleasure of having him in my life. He made me laugh, gave me advice, encouragement and made the world a better place. Jerry will be missed very dearly for all of the lives he changed and for all of the light he carried. God Bless Jerry, Roger and the Brandenburg family. I am very sorry for the loss of such a kind, caring and genuinely great man.
