MISHAWAKA - Nancy Wilkeson, 86, residing in South Bend, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Tanglewood Trace.

She was born November 23, 1931 in South Bend, IN, the only child of the late Frank & Elizabeth (Hyner) Phillips. On September 23, 1950 in New Albany, IN, Nancy was united in marriage to Thomas Hagedorn, who preceded her in death. On May 1, 1982 in South Bend, IN Nancy was united in marriage to Michael Wilkeson, who also preceded her in death.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Ann Hagedorn of Lovell, OH and Carol Ann Heilman of South Bend, IN; stepdaughters, Michelle Milligan of Mishawaka, IN and Kimberly (Charles) Harper of Darien, CT; grandchildren, Jimmy Heilman, Jason Heilman, Tommy Hagedorn, Justin Hagedorn, and Heather Perez; step-grandchildren, Olivia Milligan, Ramsey Milligan, Natalie Harper, William Harper, and Rebecca Harper; great-grandchildren, Jaidyn Heilman, Avianna Heilman, Mikey Heilman, Jason Heilman Jr., and Jalen Heilman; and one great-great-granddaughter, Camilla Nace. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Suzanne McMillin; brothers-in-law, Darwin Wilkeson, Philip (Nancy) Wilkeson, and Gene (Ellen) Wilkeson; dear family friend, Carolyn Mazurkiewicz; and her beloved companion cat, Sandy. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Hagedorn Jr.

Nancy loved to play Wii Bowling and enjoyed spending time with her bowling league partners, Barbara, Wilma, and Lillian every Wednesday and Saturday. She liked to play bingo, and retail therapy. Nancy was a friend to everyone she knew and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

The family of Nancy Wilkeson would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and members at Tanglewood Trace for making Nancy feel so at home, and for their kindness and care.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic Church, 2310 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46615. Committal services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.

i enjoyed eating with nancy at tanglewood when i visit with my aunt viola nancy was so sweet she passed away on the anniversary of my husband rogers death he passed 12/21/2014 3 years ago the family is in my prayers she is with jesus and my husband walking streets of gold she always asked to to make her a salad when i was there such a nice lady i will miss her smiling face

i will miss you at lunches at tanglewood when i cane to visit my aunt viola she liked and cared so much for nancy she passed away on the anniversary of my husbands death roger passed on 12/21/2014 3 years ago you are now with jesus walking the streets of god the family is in my prayers
