SOUTH BEND, IN - Tom Landis, 90, of Arlington, Texas (formerly of South Bend), passed away on Friday, December 22 after a brief illness.

Tom was born on July 15, 1927 in Peru, Indiana to Arthur Tressilion and Dorothy Ann (Nee Shepler) Landis. He graduated from Peru High School in 1945 and joined the Navy that summer. After serving for one year, he was honorably discharged in July 1946. Tom worked for General Motors Acceptance Corporation and then for the Studebaker Corporation before joining The Associates in 1956. He worked there for 36 years, with a corporate move to Irving, Texas in 1976. The family settled in Arlington, Texas, where they were active members of their church. Tom was a great Man loved his family, community and His church family very much. I'm sure there's a great reunion in heaven with his lovely wife, Emily, his siblings and his Savior, Jesus Christ. May God wrap His loving arms around his family.

Beverly,

As your roommate at Ball State for 3 years, I witnessed the love of the Lord that you grew up with because of the influence of your parents. I am forever grateful for God placing us together in room 405 in Bradford in September of 1974. I consider this my first step on the way to becoming a Christian. I named my firstborn Emily after your mother.

Tom was a faithful volunteer at AMH and a joy to know. He now joins his precious wife. Rest in peace, dear friend.
