Francis A. 'Al' Aureli Sr. West Deptford, N.J. Francis A. Aureli Sr. "Al" age 91, of West Deptford formerly of the Wissinoming Section of Philadelphia passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Born in Philadelphia to the late Augusto Aureli and Josephine (nee Latanzi) he served in the Army during WWII. Francis retired from Elisco in Philadelphia where he worked as a machinist. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 133 in Woodbury, NJ. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, crossword puzzles, and was a Philadelphia Eagles Fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Husband of the late Philomena J. Aureli (nee Mancini), he is survived by his daughter, Josephine Weisser and her husband Harry, his daughter-in-law, Donna Aureli, grandchildren, Brian, Vincent, Danielle (John), Francis III, and Pete (Loretta), great grandchildren, Leah, Landon, and Levi, and several nieces and nephews. Francis was predeceased by sons, Brian Pius Aureli and Francis A. Aureli, Jr., and siblings, Mary, Mario, Lou, Tony, and George. Family and Friends may visit from 9 am to 10 am on Wednesday, January 10th, at Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret's Church, 845 Third Street, Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097 where a funeral Mass will be held at 10 am. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA. Donations can be made to Saint Vincent Society of Infant Jesus Parish. I have fond memories of Uncle Al when I was a kid. Was nice to visit with him and Aunt Chubbs on my last visit to Philadelphia. His memory will live on in each person he touched. He will be missed.
