Dear Mr. Perkins,
I remember your poignantly
animated and heartfelt Stopping by
Woods as at Christmas 2016 we
visited at the VA.
Conversations and visits along the
roadside near your home as you often walked .....
by the bogs on South Street or across the
Bridge
by the cornfields on Fuller Street where
my sister, Ida has her home.
It is your friendship with Ida and her
family that brought us all together over
the years. I thank you and Susan and Ida and all your family for the Thanksgivings,
the sharing times, stories, songs and
reminiscences. Gifts I hold in my heart.'
Your Life
enlightens all
brings light into darkness
As generations of
students and their
families
know their lives are inspired by your
presence, teaching, brightening the ways
with your caring words of wisdom and
humor, compassion and knowledge.
Thank you, Mr. Perkins
There is always more to say
or write .... the new moon,
the full moon over
The Bog viewed from the driveway
of your home.
I am feeling sad
Sunrise Sunset'
May all the songs
poems, nature's writings, your
writings and history over the years
gently sustain
all of us
your family
and friends
As all gather near and far to honor you
remembering, sharing feelings,
comforting
with tears and laughter
for always.
I am missing you
I speak of you with stories,
Remembering, smiling
In thinking of you
for the rest of my life
Because of the meeting
Love,
Ann
McDonald
I'm visualizing Ida playing piano/organ
as a cello echos
the waves
carry us
as all sing
honor and remember
Eternal Father
