PRESTON, Patricia 69, of Springfield passed away on July 8, 2018, after a year-long battle with cancer. Patty was born on November 4, 1948 in Huntington, WV to the late Bob and Eula (Arrowood) Damron. She married Larry Preston on April 29, 1967 and moved to Ohio. Patty graduated from Clark State's Nursing program in 1983 and became a dedicated nurse. Patricia was a life-long servant to the Lord and member of the United Baptist family. She enjoyed her grandkids more than anything. Patty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly 50 years; her mother-in-law, Leone Preston; a sister-in-law, Brenda Preston; two brothers-in-law, Billy Preston and Raymond Walters; a nephew, Gary Lee Preston Jr; and very special grandparents, Glen and Clora Arrowood. She is survived by three daughters, Lori (Greg) Boyer of Gulf Breeze, FL, Sheri (Walter) Adkins of Enon, Ohio, Teresa Lynn (Sinclair) Hay of Beavercreek, OH; two sisters, Donna Walters of Williamsport, KY and Jane (Terry) Meadows of Genoa, WV; a brother, Jeff (Carolyn) Damron of Wayne, WV; six grandchildren, Cassidy (Brandon) Apple and Dawn Boyer, Samuel and Emily Adkins, Connor and Kaitlyn Hay; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends who miss her dearly. Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Miami Valley United Baptist Church, 660 W. Hyde Road, Yellow Springs, OH 45387, with a viewing an hour prior to the service at the church that day. Family and Friends may also call during visitation on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Adkins Funeral Home, Enon. (AdkinsFunerals.com).

To the Preston family: my deepest sympathy to you. My mom was neighbors with Patty and Larry way back in the 70's. You could never know better or finer people. I remember the girls when they were very young. I last saw Patty when I became a nurse. I saw Larry @Mercy Hospital as well.my daughter and Lynn used to play together when we came out to Mosier Rd.!I remember what a lovely family the Preston's were and I'm sure still are! God bless and prayers to the all.
