I FIRST MET TOM WHEN I STAYED AT HIS MOTHERS HOUSE DURING THE SUMMER. FIRST ECOUNTER WAS WHEN HE CAME RUNNING DOWN THE BOARDWALK AND SAW ME WALKING WITH HIS THEN GIRLFRIEND CAROLINE. MANY DAYS AT KENNYS BASKETBALL COURTS. GOT INTO ONE GAME OPPOSITE HIM. I WAS USHERING AT THE WARRIORS BASKETBALL GAME IN PHILLY AND HE CAME IN THE PRESS GATE DOOR I WAS WORKING AND PRETENDED TO BE ANGRY BUT IT WAS ALL FOR LAUGHS. HE WAS WITH HIS WIFE CAROLINE AT THE TIME. NEXT ENCOUNTER WAS WHEN I WAS A WAITER AT ED ZABERERS IN N WILDWOOD AND HE WAS WITH A BUNCH OF FRIENDS AND GRABBED ME AND PULLED ME INTO THE SEAT BY HIM. HE REMEMBERED THE TIME WHEN I CALLED HIM AT HIS HOME AND ASKED HIM IF HE WOULD COME TO MY HIGH SCHOOL (WEST CATHOLIC) AND SPEAK AT OUR PEP RALLY WHILE WE WERE GETTING READY TO PLAY HIS HS ALMA MATER, LASALLE. HE REFUSED. BUT WE HAD A FEW LAUGHS AFTER THAT WITH HIS FRIENDS. PRAYERS ALWAYS FOR TOM AND HIS FAMILY. BOB (STAN) HARRIS

Met Tom when I worked in Sandy Run Country Club's pro shop, Tom was a member. I was 14 years old and Tom would come over and buy soda for all the neighborhood kids, he seemed more comfortable playing basketball with us behind the pro shop than sitting in the clubhouse. We had a basket hung on a tree with no net, naturally, we were always in awe of Tom but he was the, "Saint"....He would open the side door of Convention Hall where the Warriors played and let the kid's from Sandy Run into the games....God Bless the,"Saint"...
