Mark Nizolek Obituary

Mark Martin Nizolek
Mark Martin Nizolek, 55, of Bluffton, SC passed in the arms of "his girls" (wife, Beth, and three daughters, Megan, Allyson, and Kylie) on Monday September 17, 2018 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Mark was born in Stamford, CT on November 12, 1962, to Joan (recently deceased) and George R. Nizolek. Mark attended school in Stamford, including Catholic (Trinity) High School where he met his wife, Beth, and then attended Sacred Heart University where he earned his degree and competed as a student athlete playing baseball.
Mark and Beth married in Stamford and then later relocated to the Low country in 1990 where they raised their three daughters. During this time he worked with family at Bruno Landscape where he enjoyed the friendships he built with his coworkers and customers, as well as the satisfaction found from maintaining their beautiful properties. He also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, attending sporting events, cheering on Clemson football and Yankee baseball, sharing his love of music with his daughters, or playing golf with his youngest daughter and favorite golf partner. Mark is remembered for his great love of family and wife and life partner, Beth, his unbelievable quick wit, ability to make anyone smile, and his love of life.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Beth; eldest daughter and son-in-law Megan and Kelly Steckler, of Guyton, GA, as well as their daughter, Karlyn Elizabeth; middle and youngest daughters, Allyson and Kylie Nizolek, both of Greenville, SC; father, George R Nizolek, of Stamford, CT; sister Nancy (Michael) Engler of Stamford, CT; brother, George "Rusty" M Nizolek, of Stamford, CT; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Stabile of Bluffton, SC; several loving brother and sister-in-laws, Meg (Charlie) Dembofsky, Jan (Ralph) Frasca, Mary Ann (Gary) Bruno, and Richard (Ally) Palmer; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews near and far.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 29, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church with reception to follow. (3001 Meeting St, Hilton Head, SC 29926).
An additional memorial service will be held in early fall in Stamford, CT.

Beth and family,

Our hearts are broken for your loss. Mark was always kind, funny and had that amazing smile!!! He loved you and "his" girls more than anything and he let everyone know it!!! He was a hard worker and was so well respected in the HHI and Bluffton communities. He was an all-round great guy. He fought a hard-long fight with humor and dignity, He will be greatly missed, but you all should be so proud that he was yours!!!

Heaven has gained another angel (and Clemson fan)!

Sending love, hugs and condolences,
