Dear Bob,
Oh my goodness, thank you sooo very, very much for posting in Al's Memory Book...Can you please tell me more ... God bless you for sharing ... Oh you have made my day ...
Bob, had he known you were close by in Philadelphia, he would have wanted to talk military, USAF, with you...I truly believe, had we married earlier and had children, he would have wanted to name a child, Connie...I feel as though I was a member of the USAF, too, with the stories... Please keep in touch...God bless you ... and please, please, keep regular your doctor's appointments. Al passed away of cancer of the esophagus.
God bless you for writing. You have to be a wonderful person ... The best always ... and nothing can truly stop the US Air Force ... God bless America and our Flag that means so much to all...
Take care...
Carole Pollen

I served in the USAF and was in King Salmon AK when Al was there.

Janis!

Thank you so very much...I am very proud to be an Honorary Elmiran!
I am so grateful to you for allowing me to be an Honorary Elmiran! What an honor, for sure!

Al is the native Elmiran in the family!

I had always wanted to see Elmira through his eyes, and we had planned to take a belated honeymoon on the great Southern Tier and I wanted to walk all the pathways he did while growing up...from his first home, his paper route, his high school, Acme Market, the Elmira police and fire departments, the Jaycee's, M&M's, Light's, Curly's, Wheeler's, the Star-Gazette...but, sadly, that was not to be.
He just was not well enough to visit back home.

Your post means so much to me, and thank you for missing him.

He truly loved his Elmira group...each and every one of you...and he cherished his time with you!

Thank you for taking time out to post...thank you from the bottom of my heart, and thank you all for allowing me to be a member of the Elmira group in Al's name.

God bless you all.
Love,
Al's wife, Carole and Coco, too
