Sending sincere condolences to all of you... Your mom/grandma was a wonderful woman and I have many fond memories of her from growing up-- she was a dear friend of my grandmother's (Ginny Hyde). While I am saddened to hear of her passing, I can smile thinking that maybe the two of them are catching up on a front porch in heaven. Among many things, I will always remember her strawberry candies and appreciate the blanket she made for my son when he was born. That blanket became "best blue" and was loved to tatters-- I still have it tucked away as a momento for him. May peace be with all of you---

My sincere condolences to all Betty's family. Hope the memories I just shared on another screen do get added....

Betty was a neighbor on the good ole Southside while I, and later my daughter, was growing up. Her thoughtfulness and love was always so valued. We'll never forget her beautiful singing, and how she knew so many children's rhymes, games, and songs, her Beautiful craft work, and those oh-so-special coconut cakes! Loved her so much. She always had such a lovely steady rhythm to her ways, and was a wonderful friend and inspiration. Sorry that I am unable to attend Saturday's service, but the hearts of myself and my family are there with you all in spirit. Susan Hyde
