When I started as a reference librarian in January 1993 at Steele Memorial Library, Carolyn Bossard, head of the reference dept. gave me a pack of 3x5 cards that Martha had written. Whenever she had found the answer to a question that was not readily available, she wrote the question, the answer and where she found it. They were invaluable for new librarians for many years after she retired.

LOUISE, CHARLIE,
Your Mom was a great conversationalist.
Her accounts of Elmira were wonderful to hear.
Rest in Peace ,
