As an adult and thinking back on my childhood I often wonder how on earth Mary Kentch endured the endless summer softball games that took place nightly in the Knudsen yard not 15 feet from the back of the Kentch home. 10 to 20 kids gathered every night around 5:30 and played softball until dark. It was a raucous group to say the least. And every time I was there playing and about just before dark Mary came out, peeked over the high fence between the properties and yelled..."Bobby Harding!!!!!? Your mother wants you home now!".

I decided years ago that Mary must have been an Angel in order for her to put up with us all. There is no doubt that she was and is and I will miss her.
