Crossen, J. Stuart
J. Stuart Crossen, 78, of Mansfield, PA, passed away July 22, 2014 at Broad Acres Nursing Home, Wellsboro, PA. He was born June 17, 1936 in Newark Valley, NY, the son of John & Beatrice Whitney Crossen. Stuart was a retiree of BLAST IU 17. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, the Wellsboro Men's Chorus, the Wellsboro Moose, and the Mansfield Lions Club, where he was a past President and past Treasurer. Stuart served as a board member for Partners in Progress, Southern Tioga Schools, and Mansfield Boro Council. He is survived by his wife of nearly 28 years, the former, Sylvia Snyder; three sons & daughters-in-law, John & Kim Crossen of Avis, PA, Donald & Tammy Hall of Mansfield, PA, Dennis & Gloria Hall of Wellsboro, PA; two daughters, Diane Thomas of Liberty, PA, Beni Jo Hall (Lyle Wright) of Trout Run, PA; a brother, Steve Crossen of Vestal, NY; two sisters, Charlyn Jackson and Nancy Crossen, both of Cincinnati, OH; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Clark Crossen. A memorial service for Stuart will be announced in the future. Sympath"e" cards may be sent to his family at www.wilstonfuneralhome.com.
