Shaw, Michael D.
Michael D. Shaw, 69, formerly of Mansfield, PA, passed away November 15, 2016, at Towanda Hospital. He was born March 16, 1947, in Blossburg, PA, the son of Seymour & Gertrude Finch Shaw. Michael was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and was employed as a computer programmer at the U.S. Navy Depot, Mechanicsburg, PA. Michael was a graduate of Mansfield High School Class of 1965, and Penn State University. He was a member of Phi Eta Sigma. Michael is survived by his step-mother, Marie Shaw of Mansfield, PA, 3 sisters, Karen Burris of Covington, PA, Maureen Shaw of Bloomsburg, PA, Jennifer Kinsey of Covington, PA, his brother, John Shaw of Madison, AL, and several nieces, nephews, & cousins. A private burial service will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield. Memorial donations in Michael's memory may be made to the Mansfield Ambulance Assoc. 381 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA 16933. I am truly saddened to learn of Mike's passing. Although we haven't been in contact for many years, I'll always remember him as a good friend, fun-loving, smart and giving.
