First and foremost, we would like to take this opportunity to thank God for allowing my wife and I the pleasure of knowing and fellowshipping with sister Carlene doing her earthly journey. Many times we had the pleasure of visiting sister Carlene and her loving husband during the summer months. We would sit on the front porch and talk about church, family, friends and life in general. Carlene always treated us as if we were royalty by embracing us with her tender hugs and kisses. Regardless of how much food she had available, she wouldn't hesitate to offer us a portion of what she had on the stove.

While sitting on the porch, we would at times feel a brief soothing tender breeze...Carlene would look at us and smile and say, "did y'all feel that breeze"? We would say yes and that it felt good. She would respond by saying, "You know I got to charge you for that breeze because....air ain't free" and then we would burst out with laughter. That was one of many laughter we shared with sister Carlene Clark. She will never be forgotten because she will always be in our hearts and minds.

One thing we have reflected more on concerning Sister Carlene's departure from this side of the Jordan River was James 4:13-15.

Our love and prayers are with the family doing this time of bereavement.
