Carmen F. Verrone
Beloved husband and devoted father
Carmen F. Verrone of Caldwell, N.J., died peacefully on Sept. 13, 2018.
Relatives and friends are invited for visiting hours on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Ave., Roseland, N.J. 07068.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Roseland, N.J., with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, N.J. Condolences and memories may be shared at shookfarmer.com.
Born and raised in East Orange, N.J., Mr. Verrone lived in Bloomfield, N.J., then Verona, N.J., and settled in West Caldwell over 50 years ago. During the Korean War, he honorably served in the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he was a chemical engineer for Drew Chemical Co. in Boonton, N.J. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing bocce ball, tennis, fishing, and summers in Belmar with his family. For many years he crafted his own wine, "Verrone's Very Own."
He was predeceased by his sisters, Marie Finnegan and Josephine Nowick.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 65 years, Ruth Anne (Raif) Verrone; devoted children, Linda Jo Zilian (Paul), Frank Verrone (Coleen), Thomas Verrone (Suzannah), and Pamela Hreniuk (Eddie); cherished grandchildren, Brian, Christopher, Jamie, TJ, and Vivian; loving sister, Frances Maccia (Alfred). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, diabetes.org.

Sorry fir the loss of Carmine. John Mccarthy and I send our condolences to your family. John mccarthy worked with him at Drew /Ashland for over 30 years and had many fond memories of Carmine. Great worker and employee abd friend to many. Rest In Peace. We will morn and prayer to your family.
