Chandra Kintala was a man of learning and insight and possessed extraordinary clarity of mind. His prodigious intellect was rivaled only by his kindness and humanity. His death is a loss to the U.S. technical community and to the nation, for teachers such as Chandra are badly needed.

I was deeply shocked to hear today. A great loss for his family. I worked in his department at Bell Labs as a summer student, and later he was on my Ph.D. committee. I remember him as a kind, down to earth and very accomplished person. A role model.

My deepest condolences to you all. I knew Chandra when we were both teaching assistants at Penn State. I was new in the country and he graciously helped me out on several occasions.

Dear Bharati and family,

I happened to google Chandra to find out what he is up to since I last saw you in 2006. I am shocked to discover your loss, please accept my condolences.

Chandra and I shared many happy experiences during graduate school at Penn State. We also kept in touch through the AT&T Bell Labs years. I remain with AT&T.

I will miss the opportunity to share past and present experiences with him.
