Whitehouse Station mother, grandmother, 'faith-filled,' 85
Constance Frances Dembeski, 85, of Whitehouse Station, N.J., died Monday, May 20, 2019, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, N.J.
Born in Manhattan, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Agnes Schaffer. She lived in Somerville, N.J., then Raritan, N.J., before moving to Whitehouse Station 59 years ago.
Connie was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station, where she belonged to the Rosary Altar Society and was a member of the Charismatic Prayer Group.
She was an accomplished artist throughout her life, and she enjoyed many trips to Florida and spending time at the beach. Connie was kind and generous and was an extremely faith-filled woman. She will be tremendously missed by all her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Leo, in January of 2018.
Connie is survived by her two sons, David and John, both of Whitehouse Station; daughter, Diane Salinski and her husband, Troy of Allentown, Pa.; brother, Ronald Schaffer of Florida; sister, Marlene Simmons of Florida and two cherished grandsons, Taylor and Jacob Salinski.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated Friday, May 24 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Hwy., Whitehouse, N.J. 08888. Entombment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Bridgewater, N.J. For more information or to send condolences please visit kearnsfuneralhome.com.
