Service is at 12 noon on Thursday, June 10, at Perry Funeral Home, 34 Mercer Street, Newark, NJ. Viewing: Thursday, June 10, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Perry's. Final Disposition: Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ. Evelyn Francina Babb was born in the village of Den Amstel in Guyana's Essequibo Islands, West Demerara Region to parents John and May Babb. Evelyn leaves behind her loving children: MaryAnn Welshman (Gordon), Patricia Semple (Keith), Norma Fullwood, Joy Babb Joseph (Gilbert), Ian Babb (Shaundell), and Arletta Babb McDonald (Godfrey); grandchildren: Gordon Welshman, Jr., Georgiana Fullerton, Gloria Welshman Hooks (Terry), Alister James, Sr. (Maude), Abdel Ceres, Assad Ceres, Dwight Hall, Shauna Dockery (Jeffery), Kia Fullwood, Clinton Fullwood, II, Diaon Arleta Carmichael, Denisha Babb, Deumel Angel Babb, Jadon Babb, Shack O'neil Babb, Andretta Babb, Andel Jeune, and Sabrina Charles; great-grandchildren: Mikayla Fullerton, Michael Fullerton, Mariah Lee Scott, Niga Jacques, Janaya Kemp James, Soraya Williams James, Alister James, Jr., Azakiah James, Michael Ceres, Charlotte Ceres, Eliyah Yvette Hine-Fullwood and Amaya Grace Dockery; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and family friends. She was preceded in death by her loving parents: May Durant and John Babb; siblings: Shirley Canterbury, Francis Babb and Alfred Babb; grandchildren: Lennox Carmichael, Jr. and Chrystal Babb; and great grandchild: Matthew Hooks. My condolences to the family, l met miss Evelyn through her daughter Patricia, she was loving, funny and always put family first. She will be miss dearly. May God grant her peace.
