My sympathies to the Hontz Family. My Son Tristan Reynolds was so fond of Mr. Hontz and enjoyed playing in the school Band. Through his music teacher's great teaching, he continued his talent and recorded a published CD "Joshua Hudson, Live in Pismo Beach" with Tristan as the Bongo Accompaniment.

My deepest condolences to the Hontz family. I remember Mr. Hontz fondly from grammar school, when I had him as a teacher. My instrument was a Trumpet. Also later at NHS as the ban instructor. So glad to see him the few times I came back to Newton for a visit. Rest In Peace Mr. Hontz.
Geraldine Winters, Placentia, CA.

I was honored to be in the band at Stillwater elementary school from 56 to 61. Most of those under the direction of Mr Hontz. He organized us into a marching band for the Sillwater Showdeo. I played trombone so I got to march in the front of the band. Then when I went to Newton in the 9th, I was in the band for a while but the doctor made me quit. MR Hontz was one of those teachers you never forget.
My condolences to the family
