Lucia Alessandro
Longtime Western Electric employee, beloved sister and aunt
Lucia Alessandro, 86, of Toms River, N.J., passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Bayonne, N.J., she lived in the Toms River area since 1992. Lucia worked at Western Electric in Kearny, N.J., from 1955 to 1984, and then as a market planner in Newark, N.J., for four years before retiring in 1988.
Lucia loved watching movies, listening to music, cooking and traveling the world. She was a proud member of the Italian American Club, and an alumna of St. Peter's of Jersey City, N.J., in 1981.
Lucia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas Alessandro; brother, William Fraone and two sisters, Margaret Cerbone, and Rose Keating.
Lucia is survived by her brother, Joseph Fraone; 13 nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was on Friday, May 10 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River 08753. A Funeral Mass was held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Toms River. Burial was at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River. Condolences can be sent to carmonabolenfh.com.
