Daniel Frielinghaus Sr.
Lifelong Newark resident and longtime PSE&G employee
Daniel Frielinghaus Sr., 90, of Newark, N.J., passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at Brighton Gardens Home in Edison, N.J.
Born in Irvington, N.J., Daniel was a lifelong resident of Newark. He was employed with PSE&G for 40 years before retiring. He always enjoyed attending the many retiree luncheons to see old friends and co-workers. Daniel was an avid sportsman, always enjoying hunting and fishing, as well as tending to his garden.
Daniel was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Ann Frielinghaus, as well as his brother, Arthur Frielinghaus and his wife, Joanne. Surviving are his son, Daniel Frielinghaus Jr. and his wife, Virginia, along with a granddaughter, Jessica.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 at Gerity & Chubenko Funeral Home, 411 Amboy Ave., Woodbridge, N.J., with an 11 a.m. prayer service being offered. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, N.J. Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
