Laverne, both Eileen K and I are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing.
We planned to come to the visitation and Mass, bur the weather prevented us from doing so as our driving is very limited. We are sending you our deepesr condolences....we have both gone through the same experience as my husband, Mike, passed away just one year ago, and Eileen K lost Paul some years before. At this time of year, with the holidays upon us, it is very hard to bear the sorrow we are feeling. Our prayers and sympathy are with you and your family.
God bless you all.

Bob and I were very close friends back in Bloomfield. My late wife Joan and Laverne were really close. After we moved to Fla. we still communicated and found good times to get together. Bob and Laverne were godparents to our second son Tim. God bless you Bob you will be missed!

Bobby Schroder was a big part of my dad's life from childhood to adulthood. Dad told us he was like a brother. They loved to share childhood memories of their friendship. He told me of a time when he told Bobby about a girl named Laverne that he should check out and he did. He married her. My dad found his sweet in Emelie and married her and both couples remained friends throughout their life. We, Billy, Pam, Paul, Jenny, Diane and David got to witness this friendship through many visits and backyard barbecues. There are so many memories that we are so thankful for. These two guys Bobby and Billy are now forever brothers in a place where love, peace, and joy are never-ending. Our hope is on God that we will see each other again. My deepest condolences, Pam Barr Winks
