Shirley Ann Oslislo
Beloved wife, mother and grandmother; service is Friday
Shirley Ann Oslislo passed away Monday morning at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Family and friends are invited attend the service Friday, July 19 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Corey-Ragan Funeral Home, 259 Elm Ave., Rahway, N.J. A repast will follow at Dominic's Restaurant, 453 Avenel St., Avenel, N.J.
Shirley is lovingly remembered by her husband, James Oslislo; children, Jordan Oslislo and Patricia Oslislo; granddaughter, Katerina Oslislo; 10 siblings, Laurie Green, Phyllis Woods, Steven Manchester, Ernest Manchester, April Fazio, Gloria Jane Revis, Fran Bona, Cathleen Revis, May Manchester and Robert Manchester and a plethora of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Gary Manchester.
She was born in New Bedford, Mass. in 1947, and lived in Padnarum, Mass. and Rahway before moving to Westfield, N.J., in 1992.
She graduated from Kean College with a bachelor of arts and worked in the field of computer drafting at Hansome Energy Systems, United Fire Protection and Rutgers University.
Shirley was a thoughtful and generous person, deeply devoted to her family. She inspired all those around her with her positive spirit, courage, creativity, compassion and zest for life. Her active life and passion for art were an inspiration to those who knew her.
When not spending time with family, she was often found at the Visual Arts Center throwing pots and bowls, sculpting in clay, stone, and wood, creating jewelry, pastel drawings, and pursuing many other creative projects.

Shirley was the sweetest , dearest person. She was such a strong, brave woman to endure the treatment of her illness. It was such a wonderful thing she was able to spend a happy celebration with her whole family a few weeks ago. The whole Citsay family sends our deepest condolences to her whole family.

I really enjoyed working with Shirley here at Rutgers University. She was a great lady with a great sense of humor. We shared plenty of good laughs together over the years. She will be missed.
