Blanche and my Mother were always the best of friends. They favored each other in many ways. Especially in their dress, hair color, hair style, decorating sense, taste in clothes, fine food and Style. They worked together on many design and decorating projects. If they agreed about an item or a color...that was it! Then it was Pretty much perfect. They loved the same foods and both excellent cooks. I still remember eating Fondue at Blanche and Don's and haven't eaten any cheese dish Better than hers. She was a gentle person and was so well loved by her children and friends. We will all miss her very much.

There are people who come into your life and they don't have to, but you are so grateful they did.

My sincere condolences to the friends and family of Blanche. May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time. (Jeremiah 29:11, 12).

I believe that everyone and anyone that ever was engaged in conversation with Blanche surely touched on the subject of food . The menu, the menu revision, the preparation, the presentation, the combination all was an art form to my MIL (Mother-In-Law) and she flourished and excelled in her expression and demonstration. She was an early stage Foodie. She created, borrowed, modified and re-created with abandon involving everyone in the production. Dinners were not short, often passing midnight. Her Cheese cake was the original sin and all dessert was a must have to be shared EQUALLY. Food was an expression of love for Blanche, the cherry on top so to speak. Maraschino! Cooking, Creating, Conversing, Communing were major ingredients of Blanche's love . She savored one of her daughter, Chris's favorite sayings : "Life is short, Eat dessert first!". Indeed! We all miss all of them. Savor the sweetness of the memories.
