Sally and I met Burta in 2000. We would meet in Great Hills Park almost every day, until just a few years ago, to walk our dogs together and chat. She was a great friend and as kind and warm a person as you could ever hope to meet. We miss her very much and want to express our condolences to her family and friends.

One of the kindest persons I've ever known. A lovely lady.

Lovely Burta was the first person I met after moving to Austin in February 2008. We met early one morning on the canyon trail when her yellow lab Sam and my 2 dogs stopped to say hello. I will never forget her warmth and kindness to me, a total stranger. It was a pleasure to have known her these last 10 years.

I just loved Burta - she was a great person that I knew from our neighborhood group of ladies. She was very interested in my daughter's career and I enjoyed hearing about her family. Burta will be missed.
