Chuck was one of my first employeers in Harlingen, Texas in 1961 & taught me a lot about life & architecture by the example he set. We always kept in touch thru TSA & those occasional reunions. Thru the years I met his wife Lisa, his brother Bill, & his Daughter Carol & I want to extend my deepest sympathy to them as well as the rest of his family.

Very sorry for the loss of Chuck Croft. When I graduated from UT Austin in 1984 and entered the architectural workforce, Chuck was one of those established architects and AIA Austin leaders who helped me - directly and by example - become active in the Chapter. Over the years he was a reliable familiar face who I grew to know as a colleague. He'll be missed but always remembered.

My condolences to the Croft Family at the passing of a great man and architect. He did much for Austin and it's architecture. He was admired by all of us in the design and building profession.

Just a note to tell you how sorry I am to hear of Chuck Croft's passing. What an awesome legacy! He truly was one of the greatest of the "Greatest Generation". Thanks for sharing his life's journey. I regret not thanking him personally for his service in the Pacific in assignments that were keys in ending the war. His legacy of service in architecture, community, and family has likely not been equaled. God bless.
