Dan, Sylvia Mack, and I were friends since 1972. Sylvia borrowed my maternity clothes!!!
He was last at our house in Colorado for lunch about two years.
Rest In Peace with your dear Sylvia.

I don't remember when I first met Dan. I joined the ACA shortly after he founded it. He did an outstanding job of bringing people together. We have a lot of wonderful memories of travels to the ACA meetings in many countries with him and Sylvia. Dan took his Dad on a round the world' business trip. Charley told me later, you know Cooper, I didn't know there was so many different ways to turn on a shower. We and the international community will miss him. Wayne and Judy Cooper, Charlotte NC

We are deeply saddened at the untimely death of Dan West, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for the Wright City Fire Protection District.

We know Dan loved to travel and his most recent trip was an example of him living a full life.

Dan took fashion cues from no one and would regularly attend Board meetings in a hat no rational human would be seen wearing.

Dan truly touched many lives here at the WCFPD and will be deeply missed.

A Tip of the Helmet to you Sir...

I just met Dan on his last trip and had the pleasure talking quite some time with him and I wanted to say that his last thoughts were for family, his daughters and grandchildren which he showed me proudly many pictures from.
My sincere condolences for your loss
