Christi Suzann Gale
Pflugerville - Christi Suzann Gale passed away peacefully with her children and family by her side on June 1, 2021 at her home in Pflugerville, Texas. She was 59 years old.
Christi is survived by her father Charles Curtsinger of McKinney, Texas, her children Madisen and Chase Gale, and her siblings Kym Popp of Edmond, Oklahoma and Jeff Curtsinger of Georgetown, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Watts née Walker.
Christi was born on May 18, 1962, in Dallas, Texas. She spent her childhood in Plano and later Columbia, Missouri where she graduated from Rock Bridge High School in 1980. She went on to attend Southwest Texas State University where she graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in both Chemistry & Biology. Christi then attended the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated in 1988 with a degree in Pharmacy. She worked as a Pharmacist at various Randalls' stores for over 30 years, dedicated to the well-being of her many loyal customers.
In 1991, she married Tony Gale and they were blessed with two children: Madisen and Chase. Although they later divorced, Christi and Tony remained dedicated parents and friends. Christi was a very devoted mother and caring person who was loved greatly by her children, family and friends.
Outside of her kids, Christi's second passion was the welfare of animals. In addition to owning numerous pets throughout her life, she opened her home to foster care, buying critical time for the successful adoption of dozens of dogs which would have otherwise been euthanized. Additionally, she worked tirelessly volunteering and organizing charity events which raised tens of thousands of dollars for this cause. One of the more notable efforts was her establishing the annual Pflugerville Dog Jog, which is where she met Jeff Kemp who proved to be her rock through the final years of life.

I went to high school with Christi and remember her fondly. She was always smiling and friendly. Way too soon.
