DJ you left us way too soon. I was blessed to be able to coach you and know you as a man. You will be sorely missed by all of your friends and family. Have a catch with Bull in heaven.g

You will be missed big man.

You were definitely one of a kind and fun to play with and against.

That voice...sense of humor, it was special.

Keep watching over us.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dodd in 2006 when we were both working an event for Baseball Factory. We were in a hotel restaurant that was completely empty except for us. Our waitress came to our table and poured water into our sprites half way through the meal. We both took a sip at the same time and looked at each other knowing that our drinks were not right. We both laughed. From that moment on, we both referred to one another as "Sprite Water." When I would pick him up at the airport, "Hey, Sprite Water, how ya been?" When we were on the field, "Can you grab the radar gun, Sprite Water?" When I would go long on the intros at an event, "Wrap it up, Sprite Water!" I always enjoyed my time with Dodd. He will be sorely missed.
