Sending condolences to everyone touched by Elizabeth's life and especially to Joe, Betty, Kerry, and Mary for the loss of your Mother. I fondly recall your family's visits to Virginia in our younger days. I didn't know your Mother well, but she seemed a kind and lovely person. Her obituary certainly shows that fact.

What a privilege and blessing to have known sweet Elizabeth. There have only been a handful of people I've known to be so kind and loving, genuinely beautiful inside and out. I so appreciate and am inspired how she always had such a positive attitude no matter what and maintained a sense of humor on top of that! I am dearly missing Elizabeth. Sincere condolences and love to her family. Thank you Betty for sharing your mom with me.

My acquaintance with Elizabeth was all too brief - meeting her through her husband, my former CO in a Navy Fighter Squadron. John, who was my hero and mentor in so many respects that it came as no surprise to meet his choice for a life-time companion, the epitome of a gentlewoman, his Elizabeth.
What a beautiful, dignified and cultured lady. This awesome couple prompted us to establish the Kirk Aviation Scholarship in their honor that provides flight training for a deserving high school senior.
Our sympathy goes out to the Kirk family in this time of grief.

Polly loved Elizabeth. Elizabeth trusted Polly to nibble at her eyelashes.
