I worked with John in the late 70's at American Income Life in Waco. We pushed each other in a competitive, yet friendly, manner to finish the SOA exams. We both left there in the early 80's and I didn't speak to him thereafter. We both loved baseball and he kept telling me he was related to Lou Boudreaux (a Hall-of-Famer). I irked him by responding, "Lou who?" Not Gehrig? And he hated Texas - my alma mater - about as much as I still hate a&m and Bear High. We had some good, friendly banter. I like him a lot. I remember him well. This world will miss him. God Bless.

I wish we had known John before illness depleted him so much. We met him a few times through Buddy and Louise, and he was always a gracious conversationalist, despite his pain. Many blessings to all of his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, John. The hard part is over and you're free to "play ball" with the angels now.

John was our neighbor on West Terrace for many years, and our parents were friends. Buddy and Judy, and to all of his family, we're so sorry to hear this news. What a kind person he was always! We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

So long, friend. I had the pleasure of being on retreats at the same time as John at St. Mary's Sewanee in Sewanee, TN and was a nearby neighbor when he moved to Nashville. I will miss the books and baseball talk. I hope Mr. Mickey Mantle is still finding a happy home with Buddy. All of the family are in my thoughts and prayers. John, we will see you when we get to the end of the game. Peace, Jean
