Very sorry to hear the news of Dean,s passing. What a great guy, a real class act. great classmate and teammate. Always gave me praise and compliments of plays on the basketball court. Loved the first time we heard Eddie Vanhalens guitar solo in Michael Jackson,s beat it. We can go for a ride in some fast cars again someday.rest in peace.

It was an honor to grow up with Dean Butler in LaHarpe, Illinois, through grade school and high school. Everyone who ever met Dean liked him immensely. He had a heart of gold. His fellow classmates admired his humor, modesty, and wonderful personality. Cassandra picked a great person. Judy and Lawrence Dean, Sr. did an exceptional job in molding Dean into that great person.

Dean was a terrific classmate, teammate, and friend. I will always cherish the memories we shared in football, basketball, baseball, field trips, camping trips, school parties, skating, dances, boy talks, and just about everything in between. Our thoughts and prayers go out not only to Cassandra and the children, but to Judy, Lora, and Amy. Dean will always have a very special place in our hearts. I hope to see Dean again on the other side someday.
