Aunt Lillian was a sweet, wonderful person in our lives. One of my favorite memories of her was at our family reunion. I had baked a Hummingbird Cake which contains bananas. She was sitting by me and remarked, "I don't know what these little black worm-looking things are in this cake, but it is delicious." I laughed and told here that was the bananas. We both laughed together.

My sister Etta and I talk about Aunt Lillian often. She is our aristocratically beautiful aunt. I remember her as a young bride and later a wonderful mother. It was no secret Uncle Bobby was our favorite uncle and we knew he deserved someone special. In Aunt Lillian, he certainly got exactly that. We lived too far away to see her often, but each time was special. Our thoughts are with her children and grandchildren especially.

Thoughtful, kind Mrs. Israel created a lovely corsage of vegetables and plants for me when, as I recall, I invited Gordon to a Sadie Hawkins dance in 7th grade. Although I don't remember much about the dance, I've never forgotten her special imaginative innovation and beautiful design. With deepest sympathy,
