It is my suspicion anyone searching Webster's Dictionary for a definition of the term "mediator" would find the following: "MARVIN NEBRAT!" Probably a dictionary would report the same under the term "friend."

Mr. Nebrat mediated our case and displayed such professionalism and was able to bring a calm to a very tense situation. We will never forget his integrity and true sincerity. May the love of family and friends comfort you.

In a country song there is the recommendation to be humble and kind. That was certainly the code that Marvin followed. I first met him when he came to work as the prosecutor at Martineau Juvenile Hall. It was easy to see that he had the perfect personality to work with all the different personnel involved including the judges, probation officers and the defense attorneys. We moved on to different jobs but I'd often see him and always had very pleasant conversations. He was not the type of person that you would just pass by and say " Hi. "
Even though I hadn't seen him in the years since leaving Corpus Christi, I often thought of him. One of the most pleasant guys I've known.
